Bugatti market in 1996

One may think that Bugattis are extremely scarce. A considerable number is offered though on the open market. Of course a number of cars will be sold under hand as well.

As in the first issue of the Bugatti revue, here Bugattis are listed that were offered for sale or have been on auction in 1996. If available asking prices or offered prices are mentioned. All Bugattis are ordered by type.

This makes a total of 95!
Some cars may appear here double, if they were offered by different people/garages in the same year. On the other hand I don't pretend the list to be complete. The prices in pound sterling in brackets are rough estimates by me.

Some of the cars were offered last year as well, and probably were not sold due to the falling prices. Although comparison with last year's list does not really show much change, as far it is comparable. However the fact that many of the cars offered on auction, including the Royale, did not get to the estimates speaks for itself.
